ADAS Technician/Mechanic

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an experienced ADAS Technician/Mechanic to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, programming, and calibrating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair ADAS-related electrical and mechanical concerns.
  • Perform static and dynamic calibrations of cameras, radar, lidar, and other sensors.
  • Calibrate systems following windshield replacement, collision repair, alignments, and suspension work.
  • Program and configure vehicle modules using OEM diagnostic equipment.
  • Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer repair procedures.
  • Complete pre- and post-repair vehicle scans.
  • Verify repairs through road testing and system performance checks.
  • Document all inspections, calibrations, and repairs accurately.
  • Maintain calibration equipment and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and management.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive technician or ADAS calibration experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Experience using scan tools, alignment equipment, and ADAS calibration systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow OEM repair procedures.
  • ASE, I-CAR, or manufacturer certifications preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
