Overview

Group 1 Toyota Bowie is part of Group 1 Automotive, a leader in the automotive retail industry. We are growing and looking for a Tag and Title Support Specialist!

 

The Tag and Title Support Specialist will provide administrative and organizational support to the Tag and Title Department by ensuring all registration and titling documentation is received, reviewed, tracked, and maintained accurately. Coordinate with dealerships, financial institutions, customers, and internal stakeholders to obtain missing documentation required for vehicle registration and titling. Serve as a key support partner to the Tag and Title Administrator by maintaining document flow, resolving outstanding documentation issues, and ensuring compliance with established processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review deal paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure all required title and registration documents are received before processing.
  • Identify missing or incorrect documentation and coordinate corrections with dealership personnel.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Track outstanding documentation and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate with dealerships, customers, lenders, auction companies, and third-party vendors to obtain required documents.
  • Update document status and maintain accurate records in the dealership management system (CDK).
  • Respond promptly to documentation inquiries and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales, finance, accounting, and management teams to resolve documentation issues.
  • Assist with title audits, reporting, and departmental recordkeeping.
  • Support the Tag & Title team by helping balance workloads, improving processes, and providing backup assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accuracy, meet turnaround expectations, and contribute to departmental productivity and customer service goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of administrative, automotive dealership, title, registration, or office support experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of vehicle title and registration processes is preferred but not required.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $20 - $25 an hour based on experience.
