Vehicle Acquisition Manager (Service-to-Sales)

Kia of South Austin is part of the rapidly growing Group 1 Automotive family, a leader in automotive retail. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Vehicle Acquisition Manager to join our team and help drive inventory growth through our Service-to-Sales program.

 

In this role, you will engage with service customers, identify vehicle acquisition opportunities, and assist customers in upgrading, trading, or selling their vehicles. Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers visiting the Service Department to identify vehicle upgrade, trade-in, and purchase opportunities.
  • Present vehicle purchase offers and trade-in options with the goal of acquiring quality inventory and generating sales opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the Service and Sales teams to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Utilize equity mining and customer retention tools to identify acquisition opportunities within the service customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Track and maintain daily activity, sales, acquisition, and production records as required by dealership management.
  • Stay informed on vehicle values, market trends, product updates, and dealership inventory needs.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and professionalism in every customer interaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned with the Company's Values when interacting with customers, coworkers, and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Automotive retail, sales, customer service, or vehicle acquisition experience preferred.
  • Experience using equity mining platforms such as automotiveMastermind, AutoAlert, or similar tools is a plus. 
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer engagement skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve performance goals.
  • Comfortable working in a commission and performance-based environment.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
