Group 1 Automotive is growing fast and looking to add 4 production-driven Flat-Rate Technicians (Flag) to our GMC Southwest team! If you have at least 6 months of flagged production experience and are motivated by efficiency, quality work, and strong earning potential, this is an excellent opportunity to join a high-volume shop and accelerate your career!

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards 
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area 
  • Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs 
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures 
  • Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication. 
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology 
  • Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months of flat-rate / flagged production experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record 
  • National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Professional appearance and work ethic 
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
