The Vice President, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness will be the enterprise leader driving how we attract, hire, and grow the talent that powers our business. This role has a critical mandate: build a world-class talent acquisition engine while integrating it with broader strategies for leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.

 

The VP will lead the rollout of Workday Recruit, integrate modern recruiting technology and analytics, and ensure the company is positioned as an employer of choice across all markets. They will partner with field and corporate leadership to ensure we anticipate workforce needs, strengthen pipelines for critical roles, and create a seamless, compelling talent experience.

 

This is a high-impact role that requires equal parts strategic vision and hands-on transformation leadership.

Direct Reports: Director, Talent & Organizational Development

Responsibilities

 

Talent Acquisition Strategy

  • Build and lead a scalable, technology-enabled recruiting function that delivers quality, speed, and diversity of hires.
  • Lead the successful rollout, adoption, and optimization of Workday Recruit, ensuring strong change management and user experience.
  • Introduce new tools, sourcing strategies, and employer branding initiatives to position the company competitively in the labor market.
  • Partner with field and corporate leaders to forecast workforce needs, address technician and frontline hiring pain points, and develop pipelines for critical and leadership roles.
  • Establish metrics and dashboards to track recruiting effectiveness, time-to-fill, candidate experience, and ROI.

Enterprise Talent Strategy

  • Define and oversee the company’s integrated talent strategy, linking talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure talent strategy aligns with business goals and supports growth, agility, and culture.
  • Serve as the enterprise voice on talent availability, risks, and opportunities.

Succession & Talent Management

  • Lead succession planning for VP+ and other critical roles, ensuring readiness of leadership pipelines.
  • Drive annual talent review processes and accelerate the growth of high-potential employees.
  • Modernize performance management processes to foster accountability, development, and results.

 

Organizational Effectiveness & Development

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on organizational design, leadership effectiveness, and change management.
  • Oversee leadership and learning programs (through the Director of Talent & Org Development) that build capability at all levels.
  • Ensure lessons from recruiting and workforce planning directly inform organizational development priorities.

Leadership & Integration

  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Total Rewards, and HR Shared Services to deliver integrated people solutions.
  • Represent the company’s talent agenda with executives and, where appropriate, the board of directors.

Qualifications

 

  • 15+ years of HR and talent leadership experience with deep expertise in talent acquisition process, systems, marketing, and workforce planning.
  • Proven success leading large-scale recruiting transformations, including system implementations (e.g., Workday).
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align talent strategy to operational and financial goals.
  • Experience leading enterprise talent strategy
  • Exceptional leadership, influence, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or advanced HR certification preferred.
