Overview

We are seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. The position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting, and is located at its corporate headquarters in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings for the Company’s Form 10-Q/K, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly earnings release and earnings call script
  • Tie out, as needed, of investor relations materials
  • Assist, as necessary, with corporate responsibility reporting
  • Assist with preparation of annual Proxy Statement
  • Assist with preparation, as necessary, of any of Group 1’s 1933 Act filings (e.g., Forms S-1, S-3 and S-8)
  • Preparation of quarterly financial statement disclosure checklists
  • Preparation of census and other governmental reporting requirements
  • Assist with financial statement analytics (e.g. Debt, Equity and Stock Compensation)
  • Assist with continuous process improvement projects
  • Assist in technical accounting and other special assignments as needed

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Detail oriented with a working knowledge of financial reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Working knowledge of Oracle FCCS/HFM and SmartView queries.
  • Working knowledge of a cloud-based SEC reporting software (Workiva, Active    Disclosure, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing disclosure checklists and applying the guidance to new and/or existing disclosures
  • Team oriented and self-motivated, and a leader by example
  • Able to interact and communicate effectively with various groups within the organization (i.e., Tax, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations, etc.)
  • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and team goals

 

The candidate should have at a minimum:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a finance degree with an accounting emphasis
  • Certification as a public accountant or working towards certification
  • One to two years of relevant experience in public accounting or financial reporting
  • A firm understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
