Financial Reporting Senior Analyst

We are seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Senior Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. The position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting, and is located at its corporate headquarters in Houston, TX.

• Prepare and assist with review quarterly and annual SEC filings for the Company’s Form 10-Q/K, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A
• Prepare and assist with review of quarterly earnings release and earnings call script
• Review the tie out, as needed, of investor relations materials
• Prepare and assist with review, as necessary, corporate responsibility reporting
• Prepare and assist with review of the annual Proxy Statement
• Prepare and assist with review, as necessary, of any of Group 1’s 1933 Act filings (e.g., Forms S-1, S-3 and S-8)
• Preparation of quarterly financial statement disclosure checklists
• Preparation and assist with review, as necessary, of census and other governmental reporting requirements
• Prepare financial statement analytics (e.g. Debt, Equity and Stock Compensation)
• Prepare the statement of cash flows
• Work on continuous process improvement projects
• Work on technical accounting and other special assignments as needed
• Coach the Financial Reporting Analyst on their day-to-day activities

Desired Qualifications:

• Detail oriented with a working knowledge of financial reporting and disclosure requirements
• Working knowledge of Oracle FCCS/HFM and SmartView queries.
• Working knowledge of a cloud-based SEC reporting software (Workiva, Active    Disclosure, etc.)
• Experience utilizing disclosure checklists and applying the guidance to new and/or existing disclosures
• Team oriented and self-motivated, and a leader by example
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with various groups within the organization (i.e., Tax, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations, etc.)
• Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and team goals

The candidate should have at a minimum:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a finance degree with an accounting emphasis
• Certification as a public accountant or working towards certification
• One to two years of relevant experience in public accounting or financial reporting
• A firm understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
