Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of technicians, offering guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality work
- Diagnose complex mechanical issues, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting for Sprinter Vans
- Assign work to technicians, ensuring efficient execution, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of repair orders
- Perform system diagnostics, full automotive troubleshooting, and testing on Sprinter Vans
- Road-test vehicles to ensure the quality of repairs and that customer expectations are met
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts, and sales departments to maintain smooth workflow and excellent customer satisfaction
- Conduct inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure accuracy and quality
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in the automotive service industry
- Maintain an organized and clean shop area while ensuring safety and compliance with dealership and factory standards
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to enhance performance and shop operations
Qualifications:
- Previous Sprinter Van Technician Experience (required)
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience with CDK Dealer Services or dealership technology (a plus)
- Strong focus on customer service, quality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to work in a commission-based, performance-driven environment
